  • In September 1910, Dengyosha Manufacturing Department (hereinafter DMD) was founded in Tokyo, Japan, as a manufacturer of water turbines.
    Later, DMD developed its business and changed its name to Dengyosha Prime Mover Works (hereinafter DPMW).
  • In June 1955, DPMW divided its business into two categories, water turbines, which was taken over by Tokyo Shibaura Electric Co., Ltd. (currently Toshiba Corporation) and pumps, fans, and diesel engines etc., which was taken over by Dengyosha Machine Works, Ltd. (hereinafter DMW).
  • In October 1961, DMW listed its shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  • In July 1987, the company name was changed to DMW Corporation.
  • In August 1989, DMW moved its head office to Omori, Tokyo, Japan.
  • In November 2014, DMW established a subsidiary company in India. (DMW India Private Limited)
  • In June 2016, DMW successfully commercialized the Energy Recovery System for reverse osmosis method seawater desalination (hereinafter ERS) as the first manufacturer in Japan, and installed the first unit of ERS at the seawater desalination plant in Okinawa, Japan.
  • In February 2017, DMW’s ERS (device name: Energy Recovery System with 2 cylinder devices and 2 flow path switching devices) received JMF’s President Award in the Energy-Efficient Machinery Award from The Japan Machinery Federation (JMF).
